Shruti Joshi , Professor , one of the founder members is associated  Dr. B.N.College of Architecure , BNCA since 1995. She is the Director of the BNCA  INTERNATIONAL CELL since 1996.  She has been given various  responsibilities till date  including heading the B.Arch Department. She graduated from  Masters in Town and Country Planning from COEP, Pune in 2004 and stood first in the department. Her Thesis on “ Development of Agricultural Region, Critical Appraisal of Warana River Valley. ”was very well acclaimed.

She is a  GATE scholar and  she firmly believes in holistic development of students for their better future. Through the platform of Alumni and International Cell she organized a lot of lectures on all round development of the students.  As the Director of the BNCA International Cell,  she has been instrumental in establishing several collaborations and tie –ups with universities abroad, creating numerous opportunities for BNCA students to get exposure at various platforms and interact with international students, faculty & professionals alike. She has  sent around 100 students to study abroad for one semester  on total tution fee waiver.

She strongly believes that   Architecture is a subject that cannot be learned just within the four walls of classroom. Learning through Global classrooms is the need of the time.  She has not only helped our students with good exposure to the architectural scenario outside India but also strengthened the cultural ties, encouraging global fraternity. She also heads the Alumni Department since its  first batch graduating in 1999 and helped the 20 batches of BNCA Alumni to establish network an stay connected.

Currently pursuing her  Ph.D. under BNCA- research Center, Savitribai Phule Pune University, her research interests focus on studying the changing patterns in the Core city  of Pune and  if this change can be termed as gentrification in Indian context.
