About

A staunch urbanist at heart , in the academic domain of BNCA AD Studios, Chaitanya Peshave has been vocal in propounding the notion of a pedestrian friendly city with well designed public places for the people. With an interest in the dynamics of the urban fabric, its evolution, and its engagement with the urban life, he is particularly inclined to the exploration of the inter-relationship between “the built” and the “unbuilt” and their essential balance in public placemaking.
After his postgraduate studies at USC in LA and a two year stint with architectural studios in the city of Santa Monica, CA, Chaitanya returned to Pune to join his father’s architectural practice at the firm “PESHAVE AND ASSOCIATES”. As a Council registered architect in private practice since the year 2001, he has experience in design and implementation of myriad range of architecture projects, ranging from public/semipublic domain projects such as educational/ institutional buildings and healthcare facilities to private speculative commercial and residential spaces. He continues his father’s legacy in the domain of interpretation and application of legal and statutory provisions governing land and building development.
