Moving Towards Green Design’09

The objective of this conference was to introduce to the participants from the construction sector, the various Green Building Concepts. The conference provided an exposure on Green building initiatives and projects in India and helped build basic skills towards developing a sustainable approach towards building design and construction. The conference included speakers from across the world sharing their experiences and showcasing their interesting projects and works. Eminent speakers from India talked about challenges and opportunities for Green Buildings in India, providing the participants an insight into practicing sustainability in construction. In this comprehensive two day event, participants met and interact with professionals and leaders of the Green Building Movement in India and found networks to initiate their own Green projects.

The 2-day national seminar provided exposure and a platform for exchanging of green ideas and best practices. The ultimate aim of the interaction was to instill green thoughts in delegates and persuade them to broaden their scope of expertise. The event showcased experts sharing their experiences and works, challenges and opportunities that green design has to offer in the future.
