Greetings! Welcome to the Department of Masters of Landscape Architecture at BNCA!!

As an effect of Globalization, Fast rate of Urban Development, Landscape Architecture is getting redefined due to changing environmental, cultural, economic contexts and artistic temperaments. The profession is trying to seek new imagery, new meanings and new relevance. Gardens, Parks, Plazas, and public spaces though remain traditional domains of landscape architects, world over challenges of global warming, depleting resources, rising water levels, eroding hill slopes, landslides, urban landfills, huge quarried areas, degraded and disturbed landscapes are making the landscape architect expand his role in further bettering the environment.Complex building systems, problems like scarcity of land, poor soil quality, water paucity and large scale private and public works and infrastructure developments are demanding the landscape architects not to be just good conceptualizes and designers ,but also abreast with technology and managerial skills.

This course imparts a valuable sense of responsibility towards our nature and culture relationship throughout past till present. Students of this course are encouraged to design in response to Landscapes in Indian context. The course addresses the issue of global identity and local/ regional identity in the field of landscape architecture.

Our 2 years rigorous full time course teaches you new tools and techniques and equips you to face the future challenges of the profession. We believe in giving you hands-on experience and its our constant effort to avail varied scale live projects through which you learn to successfully deal with complex urban ecological and environmental issues and generate a sustainable landscape model for the future generations to enjoy and proudly boast of.   Our effort is to impart education with a competitive edge and evolve you into successful new generation landscape architects.
