Extra Curricular Activities
The institute shall initiate student's extra curricular activities to promote art awareness, teamwork, leadership, and management skills in students. The events shall be initiated by the institute but planned, organised, executed and managed by the students.
Meditation
Every morning there will be meditation time, prior to starting of college. The time shall be 10 minutes. All students and staff members shall observe the meditation schedule.
Induction Day
The institute shall organise an induction day for the freshers. This event shall be divided into two schedules. i.e. formal and informal schedule. The formal section of the event shall be open for the students and the parents. The formal section shall consist of welcome speech, introduction to the staff members, introduction to Samstha, information on the guidelines, rules and regulations of the institute and the course. The informal section of the event shall be restricted only to the students. The informal section shall have self introduction, games for freshers', tea party, Samstha visit etc.
Freshers' party
The fresher's party shall be organised within the first month of commencement of the first year of the course. The freshers' party shall be organised on Saturday evening. The fresher's party shall have variety entertainment, games, competitions and refreshment / dinner.
Picnic
One-day picnic shall be organised in the first semester. The picnic spot should be such that the traveling time shall not be more than 2 hours drive from the city. The institute shall contribute fixed amount for the picnic.
Sports
The student shall take part in sports activity in the institute as well as out side institute. Sports competitions shall be organised at the time of annual gathering. The competitions shall be indoor and outdoor sports.
Study tour
The institute shall organise a study tour every year. The study tour shall be organised in winter holidays. The study tour duration shall be 10 to 15 days. The study tour shall consider one area, one aspect of design, or any other thematic aspect. The study tour shall make students aware, understand and study the different aspects of design. [Lodging, boarding & travel expense shall be borne by the student.]
Annual Gathering
Every year students' annual gathering shall be organized in the second semester. The annual gathering shall be organised for four days. Each day shall involve students in different activities. There shall be competitions organised for indoor/outdoor sports, design aspects, creativity, skills etc. There shall be exhibition of student's academic works. There shall be evening of performances by students. There shall be distribution of academic and personality excellence awards, scholarships, felicitations and other such rewards for the students. There shall be a dinner hosted for the students, staff, invitees and Samstha members.
Exhibition
The exhibition of students' academic and allied work shall be organised by the institute. The institute shall invite students of other colleges, parents, professionals, design industries, dealers, distributors, manufacturers and dignitaries. The aim of the exhibition is to project student's work to the society and create awareness in the society. Promote students to the design industry and professionals for absorption in the design profession.
Students' meet
The institute shall encourage students to take part in or host students' meets. Such students' meets are necessary to interact with other students for share and exchange of ideas, various approaches to the subject and improve their knowledge with competing with other students on a common platform.
