BCC

BNCA Consultancy Cell - BCC was restructured in the year 2007-2008. The rules and regulation as stipulated by the Council of Architecture - COA are followed.  An executive committee was formed as under to look into the running of BCC:

BCC have undertaken following projects in last three years,

• Campus planning and design of new academic block for new arts science and commerce college, Ahmednagar
• Commercial development of Gopal Krishna temple site at Laxmi road Pune
• Landscape design of Pune university campus.
• Comprehensive Development plan for the university of Pune campus
• Facility center for pathfinder, Pune
• Ar. Poorva Keskar and Ar. Anagha Paranjape have undertaken a project for Validation of Eco Housing norms for housing complexes in Pune under the joint project between International Institute for Energy Conservation - IIEC and Pune Municipal Corporation.
• 40 Bed Hospital for Dr. Todkar at Pune

For academic application, BCC projects are offered to faculty members, after ascertaining their interest and expertise in the said project type by the executive committee.  The faculty appointed as project architect is encouraged to involve present or past students of the college during the implementation of the project, so as to impart professional or practical knowledge to the students. Eco housing validation program and consulting opportunity provided the students to get involved in the project and give hands on experience regarding these criteria and its implementation in housing projects Pathfinder project exposed students to the stark reality of the red light areas of Pune And gave the students a chance to observe community participation in the design and execution process.
