Future Prospects

Architecture as a professor has been in existence since the time man needed to build for shelter. Today's architectural field has come a long way and opened up opportunities like never before.  After completing the five year degree program of following may be the future prospectus open to an architect are,

1. To work as an architect and interior designer with established architectural consultant in India and abroad.
2. To set up architecture and allied services related private professional practice in India and abroad.
3. To work in the architectural, real estate companies  or engineering departments of various government or semi government offices such as Town Planning Department, CIDCO, CPWD, PWD, MES, and Municipal Corporations, etc.
4. To teach in various architectural colleges
5. To take up post graduate studies in fields of architecture and allied fields like urban design, graphic design, conservation, landscape, environment, set designing, mass communication and media architectural etc. as well as planning leading to the degree of M. Arch., M.S., M.E., and M. Planning etc.
6. To work as associate consultant in the field of landscape design, urban design, industrial design, environmental architecture, product design, furniture design, project management, and architectural conservation, etc.
7. To work in software companies to contribute to the software development field in various software packages such as adobe, sketch up, 3D Max, AutoCAD, etc.
8. To undertake research related to architecture in a specific field of interest such as humanities like history, sociology,  allied arts like photography, fine arts, etc.
